America’s music superstar, Shawn Carter, a.k.a, Jay Z will be storming Nigeria as part of his African tour come October, this year.
Married to Beyonce Knowles who is one of the highest earning musicians in the world, Jay Z reportedly announced his world tour last Thursday, and the tour will include performances in seven African cities, including Lagos.
The tour is expected to take off on Monday, September 9 in Poland, with performances in Accra, Lagos, Cape Town, Luanda, Durban, Johannesburg and Dar Es Salaam. His highly anticipated performance in Lagos is scheduled to hold on October 9, at Ocean View restaurant, Victoria Island.
In 2006, he and his wife, Beyonce, were hosted by the former Governor of Kwara state; Bukola Saraki, who named a street after the American rapper in Ilorin, the Kwara state capital. Jay Z was also part of the ThisDay Music festival with a host of other global music icons that stormed Lagos to be part of the event.
