2015 Presidency: Anenih can’t save PDP – Minority Whip

By SIMON EBEGBULEM
BENIN—Minority Whip of the House of Representatives, Mr. Samson Osagie, has said that the emergence of Chief Tony Anenih as Chairman, Board of Trustees of Peoples Democratic Party,  PDP, cannot save the party from defeat in the hands of All Progressives Congress, APC, in the 2015 presidential election.
The lawmaker, representing Orhionmwon/Uhunmwode Federal constituency, said, weekend, while distributing 27 tricycles, 25 motorcycles and over 88 grinding machines to people of his constituency at Ehor,  that the merger of major progressive opposition parties, will bring about a change in the country’s fortune, lamenting that PDP had failed the nation with its failed economic policies.
He said: “I have no doubt that with the coming together of progressive parties, APC will become the ruling party at the national level, and that is why the people at the rural level must gear up in readiness for what the Action Congress of Nigeria and its progressive partners have for the development of the country. We are not bothered about who is their BOT chairman or not because no body can save the PDP, come 2015 Presidency.”
On the empowerment items he donated to his people, Osagie, who is also one of those being tipped to succeed Governor Adams Oshiomhole in 2016, explained that: “What we are doing is to enable our people to benefit from the fruits of democracy, through economic empowerment.” www.http://www.vanguardngr.com/2013/03/2015-presidency-anenih-cant-save-pdp-minority-whip/
